CCAR as a refresher. CCAR focuses on the field response to child abuse and will help you better understand the forensic interview process, best practices for field interviewing and gathering minimal facts, and how to work with children's advocacy centers (CAC).

Children with neuro-divergent disorders such as ASD are at an increased risk of child maltreatment. This population presents challenges for forensic interviewers as there is great variability in functioning including unique memory and cognitive processes, linguistic
style, understanding and expression of emotions, and forming connections with others. Many of these children can provide information about their experiences if the interviewer is able to adapt questioning approaches and the interview strategies to meet the
needs of this child. Preparation and flexibility are key. While providing a review of possible domains of impact on functioning, this training will focus on tips for information gathering, preparation with the investigative partners to set reasonable expectations,

prerecorded sessions that fall under the one of the following tracks: Medical for the MDT, Medical for Medical Professionals, Trauma Treatment, Forensic Interview, Investigations, Legal, Early Childhood Mental Health, Trauma-Informed Systems, Victim Support
and Advocacy, Organizational Health & Wellness (STS), Child Welfare, Prevention & Family Strengthening, Pediatric FNE, Cross Disciplinary Partnerships and Multi-Disciplinary Teams<o:p></o:p></p>
