Do you have managers or perspective managers in your organization that could use more background in budget, accounting or IT? Is it time to build your bench strength in your business operations? Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate
School of Management is here to help. Our online modules can provide the core knowledge of these critical business functions, allowing you to take your staff further with your guidance.

Starting this Friday is our very popular Budget and Finance class. This explores the principals of public budgeting and related financial management. Taught by a state budget manager and enhanced with discussion with CFO’s and
analysts, it is an excellent vehicle to build an understanding of the system and the processes. Sign up now at https://willamette.edu/mba/programs/executive/public-management/

Two additional keystone topics will be offered in February. Conversations in Strategic IT
gives background to managers who want a picture IT modernization and how it can affect business operations. The state agency CIO leading the class will work through case studies to give practical application to the concepts. This is an excellent module
for those entering the IT field or for managers and professionals who work with IT to conduct business.

And Accounting, also offered in February, introduces students to the importance of financial information in decision making and process improvement. This class explores the differences and the relationship between accounting and budgeting,
so flows off the January budgeting class. Taught by an experienced government accounting and auditing manager with a lot of passion for her topic and for helping students gain a solid understanding of the concepts and language of accounting.

There are more classes coming this spring and all spring classes will be online. So if you have employees in regions outside of Salem, now is a great time to get them into the CPM program.

Each 3-day module costs $390 and all class materials are supplied.
