Most of you received the Buyer link regarding new ORPIN system functionality that I sent out this morning, but just in case I am forwarding this again here. (See email below.) Also, a reminder that there is no regular OAC meeting this month on 12/18. Instead, we are offering a New OAC Hands-On session this Wednesday, 12/11 to go over adding and deleting users, updating roles, etc. The learning will take place in the Mt Hood Computer Lab, which is in the basement of DAS East. For those who would like to learn more, please see the attached instructions. Also, during the second session we talked about using New User Forms to collect information from your new staff members so that you can set them up in ORPIN. Agencies are not required to use forms necessarily, but I wanted to share the one that we use at the ORPIN Help Desk. Feel free to personalize as you see fit. Thanks! Also just an FYI that there is an ORPIN Full System Training coming up at the Chemeketa Center for Business & Industry in Salem on Thursday, January 9th. If you have new procurement staff members I highly encourage you to let them know about this class. It is a full-day course and takes students through the entire ORPIN process from conducting document searches, creating purchase requests, issuing work orders, posting opportunities, and then progressing to awards. (Note: This class is probably more than an average browser needs to know, but if someone will be in ORPIN as a Buyer, OAC, or DPO this would be perfect for them.) This training is only offered once a quarter and seating is limited. It usually fills up fast, so please encourage anyone interested to sign up on iLearn right away!
