It used to take several steps to fully expire a user's account if they left your agency. You had to first end date their email address, login username, etc. and then you could enter an expiration date for their user account. Thanks to the new tool we received in the patch, now when a user leaves your agency you can just go to Person Maintenance, click on "Edit Info" and hit the Submit button by "Expire this Person". It will automatically expire all of the pieces of the user account at once. (Yay!) [cid:image007.jpg at 01D007F1.A81BEEA0][cid:image008.jpg at 01D007F1.A81BEEA0] Unfortunately we discovered a small bug in this functionality today and I wanted to bring it to your attention. Luckily there is an easy workaround for it. Here is what we found: If you expire a user in the manner I outlined above and then you click on either the Submit/Return or Submit/Remain button, the system will switch your user's status back to Active. The workaround is simple: Do not click the Submit/Return or Submit/Remain button after expiring an agency user. Instead, just X out of the Edit Person page with the Close (X) in the upper right corner of the window. This issue has been submitted to OGMA to resolve but since it is fairly low priority we may not see a fix for it until we move to the upgraded version of ORPIN. In the meantime just remember to X out of the user screen and you shouldn't have any problems. Please let me know if you have any questions.
