[Oac-link] Cancelling June Meeting for Tax Compliance Report work

Hi OAC Group,

It is almost time again to submit the list of active state contracts to the Department of Revenue for use in their tax collection efforts. The official report will be created on July 1, but in preparation for this I would like to request that folks review the attached report to ensure that your agency's contracts have legitimate Federal Tax ID numbers entered. The report is currently sorted by the Issued By Agency in Column A.  I am going to cancel the June OAC meeting for tomorrow to give folks time to review their contracts in the report. Please let me know if you have any questions as you work through it.

A few reminders- if a contract used a Social Security Number then Column H for FID will be blank on that row. Also you don't need to check every single FID number against the contract file at this point- just look for obvious inaccurate numbers such as 123456789 or 111111111.

One other thing I wanted to bring to your attention- over the past few weeks the State has been victim of several email phishing attacks that have released fraudulent emails posing as state employees. As a result of this, some email servers (such as @hotmail.com) may be blocking emails from @oregon.gov email addresses or treating them as spam. Since ORPIN uses an @oregon.gov email address to communicate with our vendors, it means that some of our vendors may not have received the automatic email notifications we sent them from ORPIN. We will be posting disclaimers describing this situation on the welcome page of ORPIN, but wanted to alert you to this issue in case you get questions from your vendors.
