ODE staff will be unavailable on these days to assist districts with testing needs. To ensure a smooth testing experience for Oregon students, ODE will suspend online testing for both OAKS and ELPA on these furlough days. Reminder: The first of these furlough days is this Friday, October 16. OAKS will be suspended all day on Friday. The User Management System, OAKS Online Reporting System, TA Interface, Training Site, and Practice Test will remain available. The Student Interface will be back online by 7 a.m. on Monday, October 19. Districts may resume testing at that time. The other ODE mandatory furlough days during the 2009-10 testing window are: Friday, November 27, 2009; Friday, March 19, 2010; and Friday, April 16, 2010 We will send out a reminder via the OAKS Online list serve later this week and include a reminder in this week's AA Update. Please feel free to pass on this message to those impacted. To mitigate the impact on school districts, ODE will extend the testing window for OAKS Online from Friday, May 14 to Monday, May 17. ODE will extend the testing window for ELPA from Friday, May 7 to Monday, May 10. The 2009-10 Oregon Statewide Testing Schedule has been updated to reflect this change. The updated test schedule is available online at http://www.ode.state.or.us/wma/teachlearn/testing/schedules/testschd_0910_final.pdf and in Appendix A of the 2009-10 Test Administration Manual (available online at http://www.ode.state.or.us/go/tam).
