<DIV>As you may be aware, the Board recently approved a significant number of new Administrative Rules. Those Rules went into effect September 27, 2011. </DIV>

<DIV>Of particular note are the changes to the educational preparation requirements for licensure. In addition, there are changes to Practicum, Internship and Post-Doc Residency expectations--both form and substance.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We have quickly begun to make changes (to the many application forms and other documents) and update the Board's website. We are also working to help clarify the purpose and intent, as well as the application of the Rules in the day-to-day work of Residents and Licensees. Finally, we are creating tools to help applicants understand the implication of these changes.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Finally, we will be sending out clarification notices via this list serve as we receive questions from you. We are also preparing a special edition to the Board's newsletter explaining the numerous misconceptions about the education and training expectations around Applied Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists.</DIV>
