<p class="xmsonormal" style="background:#FAECF8"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">The Texas Legislature has directed the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council to explore the possibility of creating a new, nationally-available
 licensure examination for the practice of psychology. If created, such an examination would offer an additional pathway to licensure, allowing candidates to choose between the new exam and the current examination, the Examination for Professional Practice
 in Psychology (EPPP).</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xmsonormal" style="background:#FAECF8"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">In its exploration of a potential new exam, the Council has created a survey to invite feedback and input from the broader U.S. and
 Canadian psychology community. We recognize the impacts of a licensure exam stretches beyond the regulatory licensing boards to the clinical programs and students preparing for the exam, as well as the general psychology workforce that will supervise and work
 alongside newly licensed psychologists. Accordingly, we invite you to both participate in the survey and to share this link widely with your colleagues and psychological organizations.</span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
