Dusky Goose Quotas Reached on Sauvie Island Wildlife Area; Season Closes
=20
=20
PORTLAND - Effective immediately, the Canada Goose season in the Sauvie =
Island Wildlife Area will be closed for the remainder of the 2002-2003 =
hunting season. The closure comes after the quota of five Dusky Canada =
Geese was met in only three hunting days. =20
=20
The closure does not affect hunting opportunities on private lands on =
Sauvie Island or other hunt areas in northwest Oregon, which will remain =
open unless county quotas are reached.=20

Hunters are reminded to call 1-800-708-1782 before each hunt day for =
updates on closures.
