Daily Catch Limits Removed from Rock Creek Reservoir
THE DALLES - The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has removed all =
daily catch and possession limits for fish in Rock Creek reservoir through =
Oct. 31 because the reservoir will be drained of all water for repairs, =
the agency announced today.=20
Rock Creek Reservoir is located about 10 miles west of Tygh Valley in the =
Mt. Hood National Forest.
The Rock Creek Irrigation District plans to drain the reservoir the last =
week in October to install a new outlet and remove accumulated sediment =
from around the dam. ODFW biologists will remove all remaining trout, bass =
and panfish in the reservoir before the end of October and plant them in =
nearby reservoirs.
The temporary rule is:
Rock Creek Reservoir is open to angling for all game species with the =
following conditions: (a) No daily catch or possession limits. (b) Harvest =
allowed by hand, dip net or angling. The amended regulations are in effect =
through Oct. 31, 2002.=20
