ODFW's 2003 Fall Hunting Forecast to be issued Tuesday

SALEM - The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's annual fall hunting forecast will be issued Tuesday, Sept. 2. Hunters may access the complete forecast on the ODFW Web site at www.dfw.state.or.us. 

The forecast provides information from ODFW field biologists on upcoming deer, elk, pronghorn, cougar, bear, upland game bird and waterfowl seasons. Biologists are predicting good seasons for mule deer in many areas of eastern Oregon and good seasons for Roosevelt elk in western Oregon. 

Hunters gearing up for fall hunting forecasts are reminded that the ODFW Headquarters has moved to Salem and all phone and fax numbers related to licensing and tags have changed. Hunters seeking to fax mailorder applications should use the new fax number of (503) 947-6117. The Licensing Services phone number is (503) 947-6100.
