[ODLC] Updates from ODLC

Hello ODLC community,

I hope everyone is having a good summer and transition into this next phase of reopening.  I'm reaching out to introduce myself as the new Chair of the Oregon Digital Library Consortium.  I'm currently an Adult Services Librarian at the Albany Public Library where I oversee the adult print and digital collections.  I've been on the ODLC Governing Board since 2014 and served as the Secretary prior to becoming Vice Chair.  I earned my MSLIS at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and moved to Oregon to serve as an AmeriCorps member.  I've learned a lot from working with this great group of library folks and am looking forward to the upcoming year.

Here are a few updates and reminders from ODLC:

  *   ODLC website<https://sites.google.com/site/odlccommittee/>- our google site has been updated to reflect our 21-22 Executive Committee Officers as well as changes to the Governing Board.  You may notice the layout looks a bit different, the Executive Committee is working to update the content so that the bylaws, minutes, etc. are available .
  *   ODLC listserv<https://omls.oregon.gov/mailman/listinfo/odlc>-if you know anyone who would benefit from ODLC updates, they can sign up for the listserv here.
  *   Overdrive Invoices- check Overdrive Marketplace for your library's FY 21/22 invoice.  Let me know if you have any issues or questions.
  *   State Library of Oregon stats- ODLC has submitted our stats from FY 20/21 to the State Library so they will be pre-populated in the report.  Let me know if you need help pulling stats from your library's Advantage collection.
  *   Public Library Connect - ODLC voted to enroll in this program to partner with local schools via the Sora app and soon we'll be able to share our digital collections with more young readers.

  *   A big THANK YOU to past chairs Michael Grutchfield and Kathryn Kohl for their leadership and guidance!
  *   The Executive Committee continues to rely on the expertise of Rebecca Gabert (Salem PL) and her excellent team of selectors.  This group provides top-notch collection development, savvy budgeting, and data management that keeps all of this going.  Thanks to all of you for this vital work that keeps the ODLC collection relevant and accessible for so many Oregonians!
