Hello:
At yesterday's Oregon Digital Library Consortium spring Governing Board meeting, the members approved an increase in the patron checkout limit from 6 items at a time to 10 items at a time. The number of holds will remain 6 at a time. This item came before the group as a recommendation from the Executive Committee, which feels that ODLC does not have the capacity to increase the number of holds given the demands on the system. We hope patrons will take the opportunity to check out other titles while they're waiting for the blockbusters.
At this moment, the collection consists of 70,308 titles and 133,822 copies. 92,456 copies are checked out, and there are 183,390 holds.
This change will go into effect for all member libraries on May 12.
The Governing Board members are reviewing the meeting minutes, and I will send them to the listserv later this week.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions/comments/concerns.
Thanks!
