Jackson County Library Services has been part of the Oregon Digital Library Consortium from the beginning. This has been a wonderful consortium to be part of, one that has greatly benefited our patrons for many years. </div>

Goal 1, Strategy 1 of our Strategic Plan (2022-2026) is to improve and enhance our collections, so we took the opportunity to investigate the pros and cons of remaining a member of ODLC. While the collection we access by being part of the consortium is large,
we are unable to curate the collection nor customize the settings and platform in a way that best serves the specific needs of our community. It is for these reasons that we have ultimately decided to leave ODLC. </div>

In light of recent discussions over Article 3, Section 11.b, I am requesting a full withdrawal from ODLC half-way through the next contract with Overdrive. This means that we would remain a full member, paying all dues and serving on the Governing Board, through
June 30, 2026. Starting July 1, 2026 we would no longer be part of ODLC. </div>
