<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Attached is the May, 2010 update to the ODOT Construction Manual, Chapter 12D - Quantities. <U> At the request of FHWA, major revisions were made to this chapter, specifically Section 12D-2(n)(4) - Reciept of Material on the Project. </U> The process for validating reciept of materials on the project site, and the use of a Materials Receiver<U> ("ticket-taker")</U> has been clarified with input from the ODOT Project Managers and FHWA.</FONT></P>


<P><B><FONT FACE="Arial">Please begin using the process defined in this version of Chapter 12D for validating materials received on the project site immediately.</FONT></B></P>


<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Chapter 12D and all attachments will need to be replaced in their entirety with the attached version.  This document will be posted on the ODOT Construction Section website at:</FONT></P>
