[OEBBBUSMAN] OEBB -- Proposed Rules Filing Notice

The Oregon Educators Benefit Board filed the following proposed rules
with the Secretary of State on March 15, 2011:

Division 10 - Definitions- Revise definition of eligible employee and
correct language related to the term "benefit plan"

Division 40 -Enrollment, Active Eligible Employees- Amending the
qualified status change rule to recognize a Spouse/Domestic Partner's
annual open enrollment or plan year as a qualified status change.

Division 80 - Operations-Amending Eligibility and Policy Term Violations
rules to include new terminology used by OEBB to define an intentional
and unintentional violation, as well as the consequences of each should
they occur.

A public hearing on these rules will be held on April 21, 2011 at 10:00
a.m. in the OEBB Boardroom at the DAS General Services Building, 1225
Ferry Street SE, Salem, Oregon.  

You can also provide written comments. Written comments can be emailed
to April Kelly at april.kelly at state.or.us or mailed in hard copy to:
April Kelly, Oregon Educators Benefit Board, 1225 Ferry Street SE, Suite
B, Salem, OR 97301.  

All public comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on April
29, 2011 to be considered during the rulemaking process. Any comments
received after April 29, 2011 will not be reviewed or considered by the
OEBB unless the OEBB decides to extend the public comment period to
everyone.
