[OGIC] TIME SENSITIVE: ESRI Enterprise License Agreement

OGIC Members:

 

Please see the attached document that provides an executive summary of
the enterprise software license agreement we negotiated with ESRI.
We're still working on a few minor details of the terms and conditions,
but we need to have you take a look at the proposal and let us know as
soon as possible, no later than the end of next week, if this describes
an agreement you believe you can live with.  

 

It is pending our ability to identify sufficient pass through limitation
to cover the two lump sum amounts we will pay ESRI, one now and one on
July 1, 2009.  It is also pending our ability to secure interagency
agreements with all the agencies that currently have ESRI software.
Those interagency agreements will commit agencies that have not yet paid
their current software maintenance to pay in to this agreement now an
amount equal to their maintenance costs for the rest of this biennium.
Those interagency agreements will also commit all agencies that
currently have ESRI software to pay in to this agreement on July 1, 2009
an amount equal to their projected maintenance costs for the next
biennium.  Those interagency agreements will include the ELA document as
an attachment.

 

We will have draft interagency agreements ready to review by the end of
this week.  We will also have a more detailed summary of the ELA and a
spreadsheet showing the total dollar commitment from each agency ready
some time tomorrow.
