Happy Friday OGIC members and OGIC PAC members.
We have finished what I would consider a very thorough review of the 2017 Framework Data Inventory and have proposed a set of changes to the Framework Themes, themes descriptions and the list of data elements in the inventory. See the email below from Melissa Foltz announcing the public review process and time period. Please send this to your network or GIS contacts to review and provide comments.
This has also been posted to the Framework Program web site and sent to GPL, OGIC's TAC, and all of the FIT Leads/themes. The summary and methodology document provides a lot of context and explanation, but the tables are what we're asking for your review and comment.
Sample Review Questions:
1. Does the theme description make sense? Do I have an idea of the data contained within the theme based on the description provided?
2. Do the data element name changes make sense? Do I have a better understanding of what the data element is given the new/proposed name? Is it a logical change?
3. Are any data elements on the "proposed for removal" list critically needed by a group of stakeholders or GIS community, and therefore should not be removed?
Please let me or Melissa know if you have any questions.
Thanks.
Rachel

The 2023 Framework Data Inventory is ready for your review!
The goal of this update is to review current themes, theme descriptions, and data elements in the

The Public Review draft has been divided into two parts: a Summary and Methodology document and a set of Tables presented as a single pdf. Please review the documents linked below throughout the month of June and provide comments, via the comment log, back to the Framework Coordinator, Melissa Foltz (Melissa.Foltz at DAS.Oregon.gov<mailto:Melissa.Foltz at DAS.Oregon.gov?subject=Framework%20Inventory%20Comment%20Log>) by June 30th, 2023.
