[OGIC] Message from OGIC Chair & Exec team

OGIC Members,

I wanted to acknowledge how difficult these past eight months have been for the OGIC executive team and our members. The departure of Rachel Smith as our GIO, the subsequent failed recruitment, and departure of the State CDO, has had a dramatic impact on our ability as a governing body to move important work forward.

However, today we are in a better spot with Melissa Foltz stepping in as interim GIO. DAS EIS is interviewing CDO candidates as I write this. The OGIC exec team has been working hard to make sure our October meeting is productive and brings a new focus on collaboration and effectiveness. My ask to you all is that you come to this meeting ready to roll up your sleeves and help us get back on track. The executive team is passionate about our directive, and we're excited about some of the great things we're hearing from DAS Enterprise Information System (EIS), who we rely on to help further the mission of OGIC and our partners.

On behalf of the OGIC executive team (Molly, Dan, Melissa and myself) I look forward to seeing you all on October 29th for our in-person meeting.
