Hi folks, at the last OGIC meeting in December 2013, I was tasked with revising and sending to you a new version of the proposed draft legislation developed in the interim prior to the 2013 Legislative session. It was worked in 2013 with
a number of stakeholders who expressed reservations, and we had resolved their concerns, but it was too late in the legislative cycle by the time we were ready to move forward.

The document linked here (draft legislation) is where we ended
last time. The attachment to this message is a new draft including changes or options suggested at the December OGIC meeting.

I did not expand the concept to include making government geospatial data publicly available. It would be relatively easy to modify the concept to include public accessibility, but the document was getting a bit dense with revisions as
it is, so I thought I’d come back with that if this review concludes we want to go that direction.

Please review and comment back to me so as not to fill up everyone’s inboxes. I’ll compile the comments and bring to the next OGIC meeting for further discussion.
