<p class="MsoNormal">I’ve seen a few emails about my upcoming departure from GEO that included OGIC members so I wanted to make sure everyone on the Council receives the same message. Beginning in January, Enterprise Information Services and the Data Governance
and Transparency Program are shifting to a hybrid work model and the GIO position will be expected to work in Oregon on a weekly basis. Since I moved out of the state and relocated across the country in 2022, I do not plan to move back to Oregon. Therefore,
my time as Oregon’s Geographic Information Officer is ending. Kathryn and I will be working over the next month or so to shift duties to others to ensure a smooth transition. But I wanted to provide the Council with clarification on the changes coming forth
and assure you that we are collaborating to plan next steps for the GIO role.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">OGIC will continue to function as-is and will continue to be supported by GEO and EIS staff. When I have more details I will certainly share them. Until then, we’re preparing for the January OGIC meeting scheduled for 1/29/2025 and making
sure all of the advisory committees are ready to go for the new calendar year. (i.e., new calendar appointments, etc.)
