Hello,
I want to remind you that PreservationBooks is running a huge sale
right now – some pubs are just a couple of bucks! It’s also important
that you know we are discontinuing a lot of Main Street publications on
Jan. 1 and that Preservation Books will be taking its website down when
the sale ends and will be selling select titles on Amazon.
Main Street books that will be available on Amazon include Revitalizing
Main Street, the Parking Handbook, the Board Member Handbook, all four
of the committee member handbooks, and Community Initiated Development.
Everything else will be discontinued and unavailable. (Note:
Preservation Books will be using its existing relationship with Amazon
to sell publications for now. Please be assured that we understand that
selling our merchandise through a community-based small business is
preferable to a national retailer with no connection to our mission. We
hope to explore other options for Preservation Books long-term that
might include more Main Street-friendly fulfillment system).
Besides Revitalizing Main Street, our other newish item (2009) that you
might not have is the completely revised Promoting Main Street
presentation – I developed it to parallel Revitalizing Main Street
content, so it is pretty good and is a brand-new product.
If you have orders that you’d like to place via contract you can send
them directly to me. Otherwise, please place your orders on
www.preservationbooks.org before Dec. 31. All sale prices will
include member prices – so this is a great time to stock up on items for
your communities.
Thank you,
Andrea
