[OMS_MANAGERS] Albany Promenade Project - phase two

Hello Managers,
Most of you have had the chance to see our new Promenade project that just won the Outstanding Public Project award at the Oregon Main Street conference in Baker City. Our urban renewal agency is now looking at whether or not to complete the next two blocks of the Promenade. There is a concern by several on the renewal agency that the cost of $1 million is too much to bear at this time. Some have said that they think too much work has already been done downtown and that the outlying areas need more attention. 

I am asking for testimonials from you. If you would; please send me your thoughts about how important this kind of public project is to the future of our downtowns, and the private investment that it will in turn bring into our community, so that I can reference them in my letter of support for the project. 

Thanks for considering this and I am already looking forward to our next OMS managers meeting so that I can tell you what a great success this campaign has been.
