1. September 8: New Main Street Manager orientation, 2:30 to 5:00 pm, NEDCO board room in downtown Springfield (212 Main Street). We will cover:
-Introduction to downtown revitalization
-National Trust Main Street Center/Use of the Main Street brand
-The Main Street Approach
-Oregon Main Street
-Organizational Structure for a Main Street program (roles and responsibilities of staff, board, and volunteers)
-Work plan development

2. We are now just a little more than a month away from the Oregon Main Street Annual Conference, October 5-7, in beautiful downtown Baker City. Remember, if your community is signed up at any of the three Oregon Main Street network tiers (Performing Main Street, Transforming Downtown or Exploring Downtown) registration is free, however you must register in advance.
