[OMS_MANAGERS] Alcohol allowed for events in City Parks?

Hi All,
We're thinking of an event in our downtown "city-owned" park where we serve
wine/beer.  This would , of course , be held in a fenced in area, for
invitees or ticket-holders only.
Currently our City does not allow alcohol in the park.

Do any of your cities allow alcohol , perhaps through a permit process?
 Would love to see if there are examples of accommodating ordinances out
there.

Maybe, while we're at it, what about ordinances that allow alcohol served
on sidewalks at eating establishments??

Would love any input you might like to share.
