1. Did you have a creative special event last year? A successful membership campaign? Outstanding facade project? Innovative new business open? We want to recognize your efforts! Nominations now being accepted for Oregon Main Streets's "Excellence in Downtown Revitalization" awards.  All levels of  participants in the Oregon Main Street network may submit applications. To be eligible, all projects, activities, or events submitted for recognition must have been completed between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on July 26, 2013. See the attached RFP that includes the nomination form and submittal information.
 
2. Don't forget to register for the ""How to Develop a Promotional Strategy to Engage the Public, Boost Sales, and Leverage Your District's Assets" workshop, Tuesday, June 11, 8 am to noon, Greater Douglas United Way Conference Room, 702 SE Douglas, Roseburg, Oregon.  The workshop is free to Oregon Main Street Network communities, but registration is required at: www.mainstreetpromotions.eventbrite.com
 
3. The National Park Service has released a report on the 35th anniversary of the first certified rehabilitation project,certified in 1977, under the historic tax credit program. The report features statistics, case studies, and other information on the program over the last 35 years.
