Cassie,

I had the opportunity to work with the wonderful downtown and
community/economic development organizations and leaders in Chico, CA this
past year. They have a very serious transient issue in the downtown and
through significant grassroots effort and leadership by the downtown
organization, business and property owners and chamber of commerce they
created a very thorough game plan with the city's partnership. Google Clean
and Safe Chico and you will see their PPT, action plan, Facebook page, etc.

Subject: [OMS_MANAGERS] Homeless / loitering issue

Hello all,

We have a meeting planned soon between our business owners and our police
personnel to talk about the increasing homeless and loitering issues in our
downtown. I know we aren't an isolated community in this regard and I wonder
if you might share some remedies that have worked in your own cities.

Thanks so much,

Cassie
