…and I should add, a state Rehabilitation Tax Credit<http://restoreoregon.org/rehab-tax-credit/> (which Restore Oregon is working to introduce) would also provide financial assistance.

There’s almost no grant money available to private property owners. Sometimes CLG funds or SHPO’s “Diamonds in the Rough” program may help.
FYI, the federal Historic Tax Credit would cover design expenses as part of the larger rehabilitation costs, if the project eventually applied for/qualified for it.

Hello! We have some stakeholders wondering about possible design assistance to explore tangible projects before investing more deeply. I know some communities have made use of Urban Renewal funds for something like this but was wondering if any of you know of any other program that helps property owners pay for initial design and/or construction documents.
Thanks!
