[OMS_MANAGERS] Deadline extended for Excellence in DT Awards

We received several excellent nominations for the Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Awards. However, we realize that many of you participated in our state program evaluation last week and were out of the office for a couple days. We decided to extend the deadline for the Awards. Nominations are now due on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Awards: Oregon Main Street, part of Oregon Heritage, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, invites you to submit nominations for outstanding achievements in comprehensive downtown revitalization efforts. The Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Awards will be presented at a special celebration on September 15, 2016, in Astoria in conjunction with our 2-day workshop focused on formulating a strategy for building renovation projects in preparation for applying for the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant program.    The Awards Ceremony and Dinner will send everyone home from this special event energized and with new inspiration. Some will carry an Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Award home! This might be your community - but only if you get your nominations in by the deadline - July 18, 2016.The award nominations are an opportunity for you to honor the people, the projects, and the activities that are outstanding achievements in your community.

Attached is a copy of the Award packet, including nomination information, award application, and submittal information.
