Energizing People, Organizations and Communities through Innovation and Inspired Leadership

It's Not Too Late to Register for the Premier Community and Economic Development Training Program in the Northwest.

What is Northwest Community Development Institute (NWCDI)? - NWCDI is training institute geared towards community development professionals, volunteers and elected officials in the techniques of modern leadership and management of community development issues. Since the program's inception, hundreds of community leaders from throughout the country have participated in the program.  At NWCDI you will learn current strategies for sustaining strong communities, attend exciting classes from knowledgeable instructors from across the country and develop networking relationships with other community leaders.  The institute is a partnership between the Idaho Department of Commerce and our sister agency Business Oregon

Who Should Attend? - Elected Officials and Staff, Community and Economic Developers, Non-Profit Professionals, Legislators, Chambers of Commerce Board Members and Staff, Extension Agents, Tribal Leaders, Planners, Main Street and Downtown Business Association Board Members and Staff, Community Volunteers and Entrepreneurs.

NWCDI Graduate? - Once again we are offering our Advance Course for institute graduates. Our class director will be Michelle Bly PCED with TDH Engineers out of Lewiston ID and the course will be lead by Dr. Jaap Vos from the University of Idaho Bio Regional Planning and Community Design Program.  This year's case study will be Idaho City.

Continuing education credits will be available through Boise State University.
