Oregon Main Street, part of Oregon Heritage, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, is offering free technical assistance to local main street organizations to help you develop compelling stories that inspire new support and commitment to your revitalization effort. Up to five communities will be selected based on a competitive application process. Applications (attached) are due by August 2, 2017. Submit to sheri.stuart at oregon.gov<mailto:sheri.stuart at oregon.gov>. Selected communities must commit to presenting at the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Conference, October 4-6, in Oregon City.

Eligibility: Communities participating in the Main Street Track of the Oregon Main Street Network (Performing Main Street, Transforming Downtown, and Exploring Downtown levels).

Background: We noticed our communities are doing an amazing job in revitalizing your historic downtowns. Despite this, it is often challenging for our communities to communicate your message which hampers your ability to attract the people and financial resources you need to be sustainable. We have contracted with Ryan Schwartz with Full Focus Communication to work with up to 5 main street programs to help you develop your story.
