EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Historic La Grande, located in a vibrant rural community in Northeast Oregon, is seeking a EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR to coordinate downtown revitalization activities using the Main Street 4-Point Approach(tm). Applicant should have excellent communication and writing skills, public relations, and managerial abilities, with a strong administrative background. Previous nonprofit experience desired, with a background in the areas of special event planning, small business development, or volunteer recruitment and management a plus. Position requires a dynamic, out-going team player with the proven ability to multi-task and work in an independent environment. Grant writing experience is desired and the position requires the ability to work with both the public and private sectors. The Director reports to the La Grande Main Street Downtown Board of Directors. The salary range for this 32 hour a week position is $24,000 to $26,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The cover letter is to include a summary of your work experience and how it is suited to the Main Street and Historical District Programs in La Grande and should not exceed 500 words.
