Hello All,

The Nonprofit Association of Oregon is offering a Financial Success for Nonprofits Certificate Program. Check out the information below if you are interested. It is a partnership with Cornell University via an online program. It does have a cost associated with it but there is a discount for NAO members, which some of you may be.

Announcing NAO's new Financial Success
for Nonprofit Certificate program!

The Nonprofit Association of Oregon is excited to launch a Financial Success for Nonprofits Certificate program in September exclusively for our members. Space is limited and the program is offered once a year, act now!
NAO members will have the opportunity to access this high-quality, flexible and affordable online certificate program that focuses on the business of effective nonprofit financial sustainability. NAO is thrilled to be able to bring this business-focused certificate program to our members working in collaboration with eCornell, Cornell University's online learning platform, as its first nonprofit sector partner in the country!

There are four learn-at-your-own-pace courses that are required to be completed within the year:

  1.  Accessing nonprofits using Financial Statements and Ratios
  2.  Determining Appropriate Budgeting, Debt Financing, and Cash Flow
  3.  Fundraising and Revenue Generation
  4.  Strategically Governing the Organization

The courses in this certificate will equip you to:

  *   Use accounting statements and financial analysis to assess the financial strength of your organization.
  *   Maintain the financial health and equilibrium of an organization through appropriate use of budgeting, financing and cash-flow management.
  *   Obtain financial backing and community support through fundraising and alternative revenue sources.
  *   Build, manage, and lead organizational governance through the lifecycle of the organization.
  *   Cornell's College of Human Ecology will also give .6 Professional Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to each student who successfully completes each course. A total of 2.4 CEUs.
Individuals who successfully complete all four courses in this certificate program will receive a signed official Financial Success for Nonprofits Certificate from NAO and eCornell.
