*Do you have design criteria for the banners? Yes - design criteria are
mostly to make sure that banner is sturdy (corners must be reinforced (min
1" - max 1.5" sewn in nylon webbing and inset metal grommets on corners,
proper wind venting, sign weight limits, etc.)*



*Does your downtown charge for the use of the space?  No.*



*Are there factors in determining WHO is allowed to advertise? We reserve
our highway banners for non-profit or community use only.  For-profit uses
are not allowed.*



*Any other information we should consider as we move our project forward?
 Make sure banners are rigorously constructed (see answer to #1) -- when
banners break, they fall on things and can cause damage the City may be at
fault for.  Also, our Public Works Department recommends spending some
money to get good quality metal installation poles.*
