Please join me in welcoming the new executive directors in Beaverton, Hillsboro, and La Grande!

Liz Hannum joined the Beaverton Downtown Association just a couple days before the conference - many of you might have had a chance to meet her in Oregon City. Most recently, she was the Executive Director for a local MainStreet Affiliated Program in Gallup New Mexico. She was the founder of StartHUB, a nonprofit organization focused on networking, brainstorming, and training for entrepreneurs as well as a coordinator for the International Business and Entrepreneurship Center for Northern State University and a trainer for Ahadi.

Tim Dalton joined the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership this week. He is a Certified Main Street Manager and was the executive director of the Historic Kennewick Downtown Partnership for ten years. Under his tenure, the downtown was completely transformed into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly, historic district. Most recently, he worked with a chamber of commerce in Southern California.

Chris Hooper just started with the La Grande Main Street Downtown program yesterday! He is new to main street - we look forward to working with him in his new position.

We are excited to have them on-board in our Oregon Main Street "family!"


Ø  Just a reminder, applications for the executive director position with the McMinnville Downtown Association close tomorrow, October 20th.

Ø  And, the executive director position with the Coos Bay Downtown Association closes on October 25th.
