[OMS_MANAGERS] Artistic Crosswalks on State Highways

One of our towns is interested in doing art to delineate crosswalks in the downtown. However, the routes through downtown are state highways. Has anyone else had experience in incorporating paint or other artistic treatments for crosswalks on state highways?
