La Grande does a New Year’s Eve ball drop/block party, which seems to be growing in popularity every year. 

 

Pendleton has a couple pretty excellent potential locations for something similar. If you want, I can reach out to the volunteer who’s been doing the on-the-ground work on that for the past four years?
