[OMS_MANAGERS] Recurring Membership Payments

Jonathan,

What kind of database do you use for communications with stakeholders, and also for property tracking? We were looking into purchasing CRM software but it was very expensive and Veneta is not quite at that level of need yet. I’ve been tracking properties and stakeholder engagement on separate Excel sheets, but it would be great to find a more comprehensive, easier way.

We are currently evaluating association management platforms as well as other recurring donor platforms. Currently, we use a janky online form setup through wordpress and stripe for online recurring donations. We use Quickbooks recurring receipt templates for in-office initiated recurring credit card payments.

We are looking at:
1. Wild Apricot
2. Donor View
3. Donorbox.org
4. and a few others...

We expect to make this decision next week. For a while, we were trying to create one master database that fits our project management, stakeholder management, communications, and property database but that seems like an impossible task. The trick is getting the total monthly cost down.

We are likely going to try and use Smartsheet for project management.
