[OMS_MANAGERS] FW: CORRECTION: Heritage Conference Early Bird Registration Ends this Friday!

HI All,

We had sent out an earlier announcement about the early bird registration and made a small error regarding the "buy one get one free for a board member" offer. It is actually "buy one get one half price for a board member". Apologies for the error.

I would like to take a minute to bring up a few things happening during the conference that I think would be especially relevant to Main Street folks:

- We have Susan Bower from the Attorney Generals Office and folks from the Center for Nonprofit Stewardship doing a workshop on Nonprofit board roles and responsibilities. The goal being a strong board makes for a strong organization.

- Keynote Speaker, Jeannette Pierce from Detroit Experience Factory, will be sharing lessons learned from Detroit and speak about her work lifting up the stories of lifelong residents as well as helping newcomers better understand and authentically connect with their new home. She will also be doing a workshop later in the conference focused on the community experience.

- Sessions on community engagement, communication (this is pretty critical), and also historic preservation.

Hopefully some of you are able to attend the conference and make use of the "Buy one get one half price for a board member" deal :)

Best,

Katie
