[OMS_MANAGERS] Welcome to EJ Payne + Grants are now available for electric vehicle charging stations in Oregon

1.       Welcome to Elisa Joy ("EJ") Payne - it's official, EJ has been hired as the new executive director in Hillsboro. EJ has been a volunteer for the Hillsboro Downtown Association for a number of years in a variety of capacities. She brings a wealth of small business, non-profit, and community organizing experience.



2.       Grants are now available for electric vehicle charging stations in Oregon!

Up to $300,000 is available in this funding cycle for projects that help communities and businesses develop creative electric transportation infrastructure projects.

All non-residential Pacific Power customers in Oregon are eligible to apply with preference given to community-focused organizations, such as 501(c)(3) and city, county and regional governments.

Grants can cover up to 100% of eligible costs to purchase and install EV charging stations.

Some examples of projects eligible for grants include, but are not limited to:

  *   Businesses of all sizes installing chargers as an amenity for customers and employees.
  *   Multi-housing owners installing chargers for tenants, either in support of tenant-owned electric cars or in conjunction with offering electric cars for tenant use.
  *   Chargers for community car sharing programs to improve access and charging to electric cars in underserved communities.
To apply, entities need to complete and submit an application along with supporting materials by 5 p.m. Nov. 15, 2018. Applications should be sent to plugin at pacficpower.net<mailto:plugin at pacficpower.net>.
