[OMS_MANAGERS] Help needed with Facade Improvement Grant Programs/Ideas

Very cool! The City of Klamath Falls has a similar program, and this year we are coordinating with them to leverage KFDA’s (relatively) small pot of money into additional funding and/or cash match for projects that qualify for the City’s programs, and possibly even into the Oregon Main Street Grants. It will be interesting to see how it works – we’re accepting a single application for KFDA and City grant programs, and rather than the applicant selecting the programs they want to apply for, we’re going to package the selected projects into one or more programs that are a best fit. The City of Lebanon is looking to change our incentive program for our downtown façade improvement program. Currently we cover up to 6% of a loan on a project that will improve the façade of a downtown business, this program has seen very little success. I would like to see us doing something more along the lines of small grants instead, but would like to see what other  successful programs are already out there.

 

Any feedback with success or learning opportunities would be greatly appreciated as well as applications and guidelines that go with them so I am not reinventing the wheel!
