I believe it’s the entire northwest from Seattle to San Francisco. Our local Leadership Beaverton collaboration with the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce and City of Beaverton, new graduate Kevin Teater, Exec Director of Beaverton’s BDA and 5 of his fellow students did a fantastic job hosting an Affordable Housing Community Conversation event last week. Survey results were extremely positive with requests for more conversations that will help identify multiple solutions to end this crisis that will continue to grow as more baby boomers retire, solely dependent on SSI. This must be a community wide, business, non-profit and public entity collaborative effort. The Beaverton Chamber will be the lead moving forward and we are excited to see the next steps to fight against this crisis!
