  1.    Welcome to New Executive Directors!

  *   Polly Peterson is with the Newberg Downtown Association. Polly was an assistant professor of English at George Fox University for seventeen years. She is also a playwright and is part of a mother/daughter duo in hosting retreats.
  *   John Hart is with the Pendleton Downtown Association. He has an extensive background in economic development including stints as regional director with Idaho SBDC and executive director of Idaho Falls Downtown Development. His is also an artist and graphic designer.
  *   Renatta Tellez is with the Downtown Medford Association. She has a strong events and marketing background. She worked as the director of Marketing and Communication with the Medford Chamber of Commerce and also as a communications, event, and marketing consultant in San Francisco and New York.
Please join me in welcoming them all to our awesome Oregon Main Street Network.



  1.  Next Week's Morning on Main weekly call falls on Christmas Eve. On our call today, it was a group decision to cancel. Our next call will be Wednesday, December 30, 9:30 a.m. (since our normal call would fall on New Year's Eve). Tali Jamir with the National Main Street Center will be on the call to talk about the resources you can access with your membership.

  1.  Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards:

Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards recognize individuals, businesses and organizations for outstanding heritage efforts. The nomination process is an opportunity to honor work that goes above and beyond expectations, serves as a model for future work, and inspires others. Special consideration is given to the development of new ideas, approaches, and innovations. Deadline: January 14, 2021, 11:59 p.m.

The National Park Service is now accepting applications for the following:
