  1.  Main Street Now, May 18-20, Dallas Texas: If you are planning on attending the Main Street America's Main Street Now conference, you can get a discounted rate if you volunteer 8 hours or more.  Here's a link to sign-up: https://nationalmainstreetcenter.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/
  2.  From the Files Idea: Want a simple, easy, and inexpensive promo idea for Mother's Day? Do a "My Mom's the Most" poster and short essay contest! Print off copies of a blank picture frame, bundle and distribute to local schools, place in high traffic areas like the library and post office. Have completed posters returned to participating businesses and/or the Main Street office. Display in downtown businesses or in vacant storefronts. Package lunch, flowers, chocolates for the winning entry. See attached sample.
  3.  AARP Challenge Grants - deadline April 1: The AARP Community Challenge funds community-based "quick-action" projects. The goal is to spark change and build momentum to improve livability for people of all ages. www.aarp.org/livable-communities/community-challenge<http://www.aarp.org/livable-communities/community-challenge>
  4.  Heritage website up and running, however oregonmainstreet.org is currently not working. Use www.oregonheritage.org<http://www.oregonheritage.org> to access info.
