I understand, Liz. These are the same issues we are wrestling with much the same analysis. I am going to need more volunteers to ensure the distancing, have the same space issues that add to OLCC licensing go to outdoor locations, still other needs to would reduce our usual $8,000 margin even more and about 50/50 on participation as there are those who simply do not relish the northern and central valley folks overwhelming the locals without masks, kind of hard to do with a wine walk.

Sorry Harv!

Just in case you want to see if your numbers work, we planned to have 3 sessions 1-3pm, 3-5pm, and 5-7pm to sell a max of 100 tickets for each. If you charge enough per ticket you might be able to get away with it... and for the smaller locations, we planned to get an OLCC license to have the tastings outside - we ran into businesses not wanting to host on a Saturday (we usually do Thursday nights) because they couldn't take up their limited space with paying customers and potential customers. I did a survey of all of the businesses and they came back 50/50 wanting to participate. So we scrapped it... too much work for what was going to be about $4k.... not insignificant, but not enough to save us.

We scrapped our Social Distancing wine walk idea - just too hard for not enough profit. But we're thinking about doing a drive in movie night at the Willamette Falls site and I was hoping that one of you might have done a similar event before and would have a basic budget or work plan that you would be willing to share.
