Regardless, at this point, the cost might be high. Event insurance is based on actuary tables – i.e., the higher probability an event will be cancelled, the higher the premium. Attached is an article from Main Street News about insurance coverage. While from a few years ago, the general info is still relevant.

Hello everyone,

Amidst everything else, we here in La Grande are concerned that we may need to cancel our beer festival, the Eastern Oregon Beer Festival, in June (I am hopeful that the situation will be better then, but you can never tell).

To that end, I was looking into event insurance for the event, and I'm having difficulty telling good options from bad. Do any of you use event insurance, specifically for a large fundraiser? Which company did you go through?
