[OMS_MANAGERS] Wording for rental reprieve

Following. We met with City staff the other day to discuss some components of a potential “relief package” and rent relief was part of the discussion. I shared Beaverton’s plan and suggested they consider a second tier to provide some incentive to PROPERTY OWNERS who voluntarily provide relief to their tenants. If they move forward, this would be good information to have.

Our City Economic Development Office wants to recommend that our City Councilors & Mayor make an announcement to the local Commercial Property Owners to please consider postponing payment of or lowering rent of their small business tenants. Has any other community made such an announcement or recommendation, and if so, would you share the wording you used?
