  1. OMS Webinars - We have been so impressed with how our main street organizations have been working so hard and creatively to support your local businesses and community over the past few months. It is easy to lose sight of the need to communicate your own organizational value. To help you think about sharing your story and to use your social media tools effectively, we will be hosting two webinars - the first is learning about the different audiences you need to reach and the messages that might resonate with them and the second digs a little deeper into calendaring your messages and expanding your audiences. Here's the registration info for each:
     * Messaging Strategies for Main Street Organizations, May 20 2 p.m.

     * Tips and Strategies for Effective Use of Social Media, May 22, 2 p.m.
https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7580495363528222732

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining each of the webinars.

  1. You might have caught a presentation by Dr. Ron Cook w/Distrx at our conference last fall. He just sent me a message letting me know how Main Street communities across the country are using their free mobile app to communicate COVID related updates<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqiYrf6HALg> during the crisis. This app is available at no cost to Main Streets or your local businesses to participate, so it's a great way to keep everyone updated as each community reopens. There are now more than 450 Main Streets participating in 33 states. Each Main Street Director has complete control of their content, and the merchants can post updates on their status, including any special announcements or promotions. Again, it is completely free to both the Main Street and all businesses - no "catch"!

Here's a link to Dr. Cook's latest Main Street America article<https://www.mainstreet.org/blogs/national-main-street-center/2019/02/05/marketing-your-main-street-in-the-digital-age>.
