[OMS_MANAGERS] T-shirt Fundraiser for Downtowns

Hey everyone, Beaverton has started moving forward with a t-shirt fundraiser for downtown, and I think some of you could really benefit from this too. I have CC'ed Joe from Hyva who is heading this up for us.

The basics:

  *   Shirts sell for $25.
  *   $24/shirt of revenue goes into a shared pool.
  *   Participating businesses that promote the sale of shirts share the revenue equally among each other.

Here is some commentary from Joe:

"I run Hyva, a social purpose company operating out of Happy Valley, OR. We are deploying a fundraising program called Shirts for Good to communities in Oregon and Washington.

The Shirts for Good program was started in Camas and is now in Happy Valley. We are deploying this in Beaverton this week and Washougal soon. In Camas, we sold more than $13,000 in shirts in the two weeks since we have been live, resulting in a substantial portion of that revenue being given directly to businesses. The proceeds from every shirt sale go to the participating businesses. If you are interested, we can set up merchant registration pages as quickly as within 24 hours, and store pages in 48 hours.

Let me know if you'd like to consider this program for your businesses. In addition to raising money, it's also a great way to show solidarity throughout the city. I am happy to set up a Zoom conference and walk you through the program."
