* We sent out the press release earlier today regarding the new round of funding available through Business Oregon's Emergency Business Assistance Grants. It lists all the intermediaries who received funding. Make sure to both share with your local businesses and to connect with your area intermediaries on how to assist them in their efforts to get the word out.

* NMSC will move the Main Street Now conference next spring to virtual format instead of in Boston (which will be the host in 2023 now). It will be April 12-14.

* Demographics, Data, and Diversity webinar, Thursday, October 15, 1 PM PT/3 pm CT. Provides a first step for understanding the value of using demographic data to underpin diversity efforts, how diversity is constructed and measured, specifically concerning race and ethnicity variables, and what steps Main Street programs can take to better understand their own communities - including a preview of a new demographic mapping tool.
